This Travel Study program will focus on environmental and cultural characteristics of Ireland and the relationship to healthcare trends, healthcare delivery systems, and the profession of nursing. Nursing education, nursing roles and career options, healthcare delivery systems, and healthcare trends will be explored and discussed in comparison to US counterparts. Emphasis will be on respect for human and environmental diversity and the impact on health, illness, and the provision of nursing care. Because of the cities that you will be visiting, you will have the opportunity to see both the Republic of Ireland's health system, as well as the National Health System (NHS) of the united Kingdom.
