I learned more about Europe as a whole and opinions from people from different countries, I have also learned more about what others think of America - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
It was satisfactory in ways other than education. 3/4 classes were academically unsatisfying, not because the course wasn't interesting, but I wasn't pushed as a student. However, I really enjoyed the freedom to make my own decisions and wonder through a foreign city. - The College of William and Mary View Entire Review
Of course it was worthwhile. - The College of William and Mary View Entire Review

I made really good friends I love the country...I may go back for graduate school to UvA next year The traveling was a lot of fun. I couch surfed with friends a lot, and I always stayed in my destination for a week (or longer). I loved the cultural experiences I had abroad, but I would not have based myself in Leiden. The friends I did make were all living in the center ... - The College of William and Mary View Entire Review
it was deffinetly worth it, i became much more independant and have a new world look - Clark University View Entire Review

I learned a lot about myself. I know that I can definitely be an ex-patriot, although knowing more of the language would help. I think I would have gotten more out of it if I had learned another language while abroad. Overall great people, traveling and everyday experience. - Clark University View Entire Review

About

In Leiden, the university buildings and student accommodation are spread throughout the city. But as Leiden is a compact city, you are never far from the action. Wherever you want to be – the lecture halls, the library, your tutor’s office or one of the city’s many pavement cafés – you are never more than a 10-minute bike ride away.

Leiden and The Hague are typical student cities with a rich student life and plenty of sports and cultural activities. Sign up for an indoor or outdoor activity at the University Sports Centre, join our ISN student mentoring programme or become a member of one of our student associations. They organise fun social events for international and Dutch students alike.

Leiden University organises an obligatory Orientation programme for international students. This programme introduces you to the university, but also to student life. This OWL is an excellent way to meet your fellow students.
