Lankey: Morocco - French and Arabic Study Abroad Programs

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I came to Morocco speaking absolutely no French but because of the classes at Lankey, I have made a lot of progress in a little over two months—I can now read short, easy texts written entirely in characters and have basic conversations with taxi drivers. The teachers at Lankey are knowledgeable, personable, and patient. They use a number of different teaching methods to help students learn the material. The teachers and staff are also incredibly helpful in navigating life in Morocco, and they’ve regularly gone above and beyond to solve small problems for me. Even the students I’ve met at Lankey are amazing and have become good friends. For the part of the excursions, everything was well prepared. The two months that I spent with Lankey, I explored different cities: Marrakesh, Sahara, Fes, Assilah, etc. Every city has its own beauty and its own small culture. I highly recommend this program to everyone who wants to improve the French or Arabic language skills and to have a good time too.
