I learned A LOT of history which forced me to look outside of the United States more. I love that I was able to connect with a few locals or other tourists from different countries even with my broken Spanish! That was really cool! I was so disappointed in myself that I didn't explore more and take more advantage of the trip, so... - Berea College View Entire Review

I gained some Spanish skills, though that wasn't the point of the trip. The point was art, and I learned a lot being able to see the pieces in person and being able to draw from life while there. It was definitely worthwhile. - Berea College View Entire Review

I felt like I learned more that way. I also got to see the most amazing places in my drawing class and I gained a new appreciation for drawing tha... - Berea College View Entire Review
I learned that you cannot trust anyone that you do not know, especially being a foreigner in a country. I learned for the next time I plan to travel to be more careful. - Berea College View Entire Review
A slight understanding for the frustrations that immigrants go through when they come to the U.S. I also learned how to cope with not have typical comforts and living with people that I am unfamiliar with and don't necessarily get along with. That aspect was humbling. Overall, it was definitely worthwhile. I took away much more ... - Berea College View Entire Review

About

The KIIS summer program in Barcelona integrates traditional classroom setting with the use of the city as an open classroom. The architecture of Antoni Gaudi marks the 19th century city, and Barcelona has long been home to innovative creativity, notably Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, and Antoni Tapies - all of whom have museums dedicated to their work. As a modern metropolis, Barcelona also boasts a modern subway, beachfront, Olympic village, hiking trails, and easy access to other Spanish cities, as well as other European centers.
