Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The academic experience was great. It was interesting to see how different cultures learn. Although I did not do as well as I would have hoped, I am pleased with my results, and enjoyed every minute of the experience. I did find the grading system a bit difficult to understand. It would be nice if the study abroad office at my primary University would have prepared us more fully for that change.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program was great! Although we had some trouble with the accommodation, it turned out for the best, and we were greatly assisted by the study abroad office on the Keele University campus. They were greatly helpful in getting us everything that we needed.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived with mostly people who spoke English and were from English speaking countries such as Australia and USA. I loved living with these people, and they will be my life long friends.

* Food:

It would have been easier if the University would have provided us with food themselves. Although they did do their best with easy ways to get to the market, with on campus markets as well as buses to get to the other places that were not on campus. They also provided everyone with a full kitchen with a stove and oven, which was essential to making the food that we needed. Overall, it was great.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Although my friends and I had a bit of trouble in Italy, every other place was great. Keele University was very helpful in providing trips around England to places such as York, Liverpool, Chester, and Bath that were priced low, and allowed study abroad students to see the country. The only problem with these trips was that they were schedule on class days, and it was difficult to miss classes to go on the trips. Keele University is also a great place for social activity. They have a multitude of places on campus such as bars and pubs and night clubs that are a great place to go and have fun and meet new people, as well as have fun with the people you already know and love. Keele is a great place to socialize and have fun. I loved every minute of it!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt very safe at Keele. They provided us the with safety tools and regulations that were needed to live safely.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I had the time of my life at Keele University. I am so glad that I have had this experience. There are no words to describe how much I love the University, as well as the country, and all the people I met there. I would recommend for anyone to go there, and stay as long as possible, because it is my favorite place in the world.
