Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Although difficult, the staff is friendly and helpful and there are plenty of resources at your disposal.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My housing was not provided by the school, but it was fantastic.

* Food:

Japanese food is delicious.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Japanese people are some of the kindest, friendliest, politest people on the planet. As a foreigner, I feel welcomed.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Health care is 100 x cheaper than it is in America and getting appointments to be seen is easy and quick.

* Safety:

My city and the school’s area were both very safe and I never was in fear once.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

My experience was awesome and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Japan’s cost of living is affordable in my opinion if you are educated on budgeting and do your research.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $100
