What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about the culture living with a host family and activities with native Japanese students. It was absolutely worth every second.

The faculty at KCP are very helpful and will go out of their way to help you.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I chose to live with a host family and it was the best decision I made while in Japan.

I'm a foodie so I can say that the variety of food in Japan was phenomenal.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The language barrier is always an obstacle, but I think I adapted very well.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

It took me a while to learn how to manage my money in Japan, but once I did, I was much better off.
