Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Intense, but you learn a lot only in one month!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Really cool, Google Style

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Didn't like to much the first hostel, the second was way much better but a six people room is too much.

* Food:

Really good, but I have been eating outside for 7 months now and I don't like it anymore. I miss home made food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I didnt put enough effort to fully integrate with locals.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I didn't have any health issue

* Safety:

I didn't felt safe at any time while I was by myself. The city is very nice but it seem to be very dangerous.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

It was an amazing summer where I was able to take a class, improve my skills, intern, meet new people, network and explore.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I have spent around $3,000 in the program

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? about $250
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Do excursions by yourself not Cape Xtreme. Don't think that it is cheap because you will start going to the expensive places and it will be as expensive as the US.

How much did the program encourage you to use the language?

0 = No encouragement, 5 = frequent encouragement to use the language

I had to talk in English all day!
