What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I think I learned a lot about myself as a person because i was put into a foreign country without anyone I knew. It really tested my ability to adapt but it also let me learn new and exciting things about myself. I would definitely describe it as a worthwhile experience. I had the time of my life.

My program was not overly rigorous but I view that as a positive because it gave me the ability and flexibility to explore, meet people, experience new things and to just have fun

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? In Korea, food on campus is extremely cheap, so eat in the school cafeteria when you can to save money.

  • Maybe a little more outreach to exchange students would have been nice in the beginning of the semester but I eventually gained my footing
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew to put myself out there from the very beginning For the first month or so, I kind of stayed to myself but after opening up, I made a lot of new friends and I feel like a few of those relationships will continue.
