What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The university was awesome. It never fails me.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I have been on study abroad programs in the past and this was the least professional program I've been on. The only good thing is they gave the students total freedom to do whatever they wanted, which is particularly good for me since I already knew the city, but not good for the other students. The only reason I would do this program again is because it was cheap and I met great people apart from the program.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I met great local and international students whom I am still friends today.

* Food:

Can't complain. It's standard dorm Spanish food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

What events? Nothing. If there were, it was minimal.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Real safe. Rarely any crimes.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
Language acquisition improvement?

Friends, people, professors. They spoke English but I was pertinent to speak Spanish which helped a lot.

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
