What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I volunteered at an after school program for 8 weeks in Cuzco, Peru. From this experience I learned to be independent, patient, and to trust myself. This experience also helped me really realize what it is I want to do as a career...I want to teach. This also helped me realize that i am not only a citizen of my country but I am a citizen of the world and that I should respect and appreciate everyone for who they are.
