Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

My Marketing class was great, but the other class I took was pretty much a waste of my time. No one could understand his English, and he graded way too harshly.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The staff was great. They were very friendly and helpful.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in an apartment in the Guinardo neighborhood of Barcelona. I lived with a couple in their 30s with no kids.

My host family was amazing. Everything was provided for us, and they were extremely accommodating. They couldn't have been more hospitable. They made my experience better than I could have imagined.

* Food:

My host mom made us every meal. They made great food and always asked us what we wanted.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I really enjoyed the cava tour.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Barcelona is known for pickpocketing, but if you are always aware of your surroundings it can be very easy to avoid. I never had any problems with it.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Bring traveler's checks in case you lose your money or it gets stolen.
