I gained a greater appreciation of my own judgements and opinions but gained a much broader perspective of those around me or have never met before. It was definitely worthwhile.

I had to cook for myself and access to different types of food was great. Gave me greater experience at cooking.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Farmer markets are a good place to buy cheaply and looking around at different grocery stores allow for better pricing.
