What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My semester in Edinburgh was definitely worthwhile. Edinburgh is a great location for a semester abroad. I gained an appreciation for Scottish history and culture, a heightened sense of independence, and some incredible experiences traveling around the UK and Europe.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Remember the conversion rate when you are spending money. If you plan on traveling around the UK, invest in the Youth rail card early on -- it's worth it. Plan your trips abroad early on -- the earlier you book flights and train rides, the cheaper they will be.
