Fantastic French Experience Past Review

By (International Relations, George Washington University) - abroad from 01/21/2015 to 05/08/2015 with

IES Abroad: Paris - Business & International Affairs

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about myself, and I found that I am much more confident than I thought I was. When you have to try and speak another language everyday, it teaches you to trust yourself and not be afraid of maybe saying something the wrong way. As long as you try, you will be amazed about how much your language skills grow and how much you, as person, can grow.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
