What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned to speak a language fairly fluently that I previously could not. I also learned that if I can go out and get a job in a country where I could not speak the language well, I can go get a job anywhere.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? You need to make an extra effort to not be surrounded by Americans all the time. Go out and get involved in a sports team, internship, choir, anything with the local students.
