An eye opening trip to China Past Review

Hebei Normal University: Shijiazhuang - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned there’s a lot about the world I don’t know and that to grow as a person means to see yourself in others. I also learned that even though we all come from different walks of life we are a lot more similar than different and the richness of each culture can only be truly appreciated once you experience it. If I had to summarize, yes, it was worthwhile.

The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
