What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
This was definitely a worthwhile experience! You will learn a lot about yourself, but also a lot about how to deal with different education systems and cultures. Griffith is a very diverse school so if you interact with other exchange or study abroad students, then you will know someone from every corner of the world before you come home!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The best thing about studying abroad at Griffith University was that I didn't feel like I was studying abroad. Everyone from the students to professors welcomed me so that I never felt out of place. I couldn't recommend it spending any amount of time there, but I know I wish I could've spent more than one semester!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Make sure you get a GoCad!! It will save you a lot of money for travel. Just make sure you apply for your TTCC as soon as you arrive instead of waiting until orientation.

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
