Most certainly!

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I felt that the grading was fair, but the teachers definitely did have a much higher standard that you had to meet.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

My program did not give me any support after I arrived in Australia.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

I did all of my own cooking.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

None.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I always felt perfectly safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I spent between $50 and $100 a month on food by simply eating very simple meals.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? The best way to figure out the cost of an item in Australia is to take the cost of the item in America and then double the price. In other words, bring plenty of money.

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • I liked living on my own, and making all my own decisions.
* What could be improved?
  • Nothing-It was great!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Expect to spend a lot of money. I spent around $5,000 not including travel that I did while I was there and that was with spending very little on amusement.
