The Summer in the Mediterranean: Music program is intended for undergraduate students in the Performing Arts (Music). Students on this program obtain a unique experience where theory courses are combined with practical courses focusing on Greek music.  Non-major students may enroll in these courses if they have prior knowledge or interest in music. 

Program Excursions:
Greece: Athens and the Greek Islands (Rhodes, Patmos, Tinos, Paros)
Italy: Rome
Cyprus: Paphos, Limassol, Ayia Napa and The Troodos Mountains

University of Nicosia - Global Semesters Scholarships

Takis Chrysanthou $1,500 Merit Award Discount

This award is for semester students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. Students must mail their official transcript to Global Learning Semesters for verification. This award can only be combined with our Early Deposit Discount.

Fall: April 15th Spring: July 15th

Guidelines/Requirements:
The awards will be distributed on a rolling basis as a discount on program fees, to admitted students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above who request consideration until the spots are filled. There are 100 spots per semester. The GPA will be verified by an official transcript received by mail. We strongly recommend that students apply for this program before April 15th for Fall programs and before July 15th for Spring programs.

The Takis Chrysanthou Honored Scholar Award

Global Learning Semesters awards the Takis Chrysanthou Honored Scholar Award to one student each semester. The student must be attending a semester-long program that is home-based in Cyprus. The award winner is selected based on academic merit, expected contribution to the group experience, and financial need. This award is a $2,500 discount that is credited against program fees.

Guidelines/Requirements:
In order to be eligible for this scholarship a student must first be accepted into a semester-long Global Learning Semesters program based in Cyprus and then send us the following: a copy of his or her latest FAFSA a list of expected financial aid from other sources an essay, not to exceed 600 words, describing what he or she will contribute to the group experience on the program Students should mail their award application material to: Global Learning Semesters 228 Park Avenue S #32004 New York, NY 10003
