The short list of gains includes, huge leap in world view both politically and socially, grow as an adult and learning to work with others in inclement situations (travel), experience in being on my own and responsible for others, saw history in action/ on site. - Franciscan University of Steubenville View Entire Review

Independence and planning skills; how to work with others. Appreciation of other cultures. Yes, it was worthwhile. - Franciscan University of Steubenville View Entire Review
I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was so worth it. I loved it so much. I learned patience, willingness to do what other people want to do, but to still have an opinion. I also learned that none of this matters unless you learn more about yourself and your relationship with God. - Franciscan University of Steubenville View Entire Review
I learned to not give up on my goals. I gained some self respect. I learned a lot about different cultures, countries, saints, not to mention the information I learned in my classes... although it was a rough and challenging semester for me, I would still do it over again, so yes, it was definitely worthwhile! - Franciscan University of Steubenville View Entire Review

About

Our largest and very popular study abroad program, the Austria program brings 150-200 Franciscan students to the center of Europe every semester. Students participating in this program live and learn in a 14th-century former Carthusian monastery. Classes are taught in English by Franciscan University professors, and students studying in the German Bachelor’s Degree Program will have ample opportunities to immerse themselves in the German language. Weekly travel opportunities make the grand heritage of Western civilization—especially of our Catholic faith—come alive. It is an experience our students and alumni talk about for the rest of their lives.
