Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

In addition to program costs, I spent 650 euros on groceries and personal expenses during my month stay in Florence. I believe that equated to about $900 US.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Approximately $221 week
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I bought groceries and cooked most of my meals at home in my apartment. I rarely dined at restaurants outside of our free program meals. I packed snacks and bottled water when headed to class outings. I did have to purchase all my meals while in Rome for three days while staying in a hotel, which increased my food costs.
