What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
An entirely new way of living, from perspective to speech to food to anything at all. It was very worth it

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

It was all a perfect intensity, I just wish I learned more Italian.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Very poor standards for that much money - some people got very nice places compared to ours. Pretty unfair.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

There wasn't that much emphasis to mingle, Americans mostly still hung out with other Americans.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

It takes too long for something to get approved outside of the physician, who honestly isn't much of a help if you have something beyond a common cold or bacterial infection.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes
