Happy to be back at Wellesley Past Review

By (Wellesley College) - abroad from 09/10/2018 to 12/24/2018 with

Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich(ETH): Zürich - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I have witnessed quite a bit of personal growth and find that I am thriving back at Wellesley due to my motivation to not relive last semester. I think the most important qualities that I cultivated were confidence during confrontation and self-advocacy.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • I made a great friend with whom I am still in contact
  • Zurich is a beautiful city
* What could be improved?
  • Administration at ETH was highly unaccommodating
  • I would not recommend this educational system to students who thrive in smaller classes with professors engaged in the students' growth
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish that I had more thoroughly investigated the program before I applied. Given ETH's ranking within the chemistry community, I figured that the quality of education would be quite high, however, it was just not a good fit for me.
