My study abroad experience was everything I imagined it to be and more. I returned to the States as someone who appreciates different cultures and people. I've grown in the sense that I feel confident to go to foreign places and immerse myself in that culture.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The workload is very light. While the program does take academics seriously, they understand that you are studying abroad and there is much to do outside the classroom. That being said, they provide you with amazing trips and field studies related to your class that is very engaging. It's an experience that you would never have in an American college education system. |

While the housing office is a bit slow at helping students, the other parts of the program's administration were outstanding. They were very helpful and efficient. |

Danes eat a lot of beer, bread, and potatoes. When shopping for food, don't hesitate to try out Netto - it's cheap! |

* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
The short and long study tour are amazing. The first takes you into a different part of Denmark the 2nd/3rd week of school. You feel completely comfortable to live in Denmark after that point. As for the long study tour, the school takes you to a different country where you learn outside the classroom setting. Europe is basically your extended classroom! |

Copenhagen is one of the safest cities in Europe! On top of that the Danish healthcare system takes care of you completely. |

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I was told that Copenhagen is expensive. That wasn't a lie. Spend money on the essentials. You won't be able to bring everything back home anyways! |
