What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I feel as though I learned a lot while not being overwhelmed with school work, which gave me the time to travel and experience both the local and international cultures. I also made some incredible, lifelong friends from universities all across the U.S.

DIS plans every detail for students (from student visas to cell phone plans), which makes studying abroad much less overwhelming and daunting.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cooking meals at home, buying a coffee maker instead of buying coffee, and creating a budget for "spending money" (i.e. non-essential expenses)

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew more basic differences between American and Danish culture/lifestyle. It would be useful if there was a "survivor's manual" created by past students that could be sent to students ahead of arrival.

You enjoyed the nightlife, and had fun going out dancing, and socializing with friends.
