DIS Copenhagen: Semester

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about living more independently, in terms of cooking meals for myself more, planning international trips, and time management to make sure I could successfully complete my classes and explore what Copenhagen has to offer. My study abroad experience was definitely worth it

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Classes are not too intense, allowing for a balance between classes and exploring life in Denmark outside of school

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Really enjoyed the roommates that DIS placed me with, we got along great and had great communication with one another, which I think is important for living in a new country

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Most people in Denmark spoke English, so it was easy to do things and meet people

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I made amazing friends who I still keep in contact with, and I got to do so much traveling within Europe, getting to see amazing cities, museums, and sightseeing spots I never thought I'd be able to see in real life

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Copenhagen is quite an expensive city, so I had to budget and save money, like by cooking at home more often
