What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My experience was definitely worthwhile in my architectural exposure outside of class and through forcing myself to expand by going abroad at all.

I was incredibly happy with my living arrangements. I lived with a host family who was so much more loving and inclusive and welcoming than I ever could have hoped for!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

This integration came mostly from my host family instead of from the program.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Some of my costs were definitely mitigated by living with a host family, namely I didn't go out very often and I packed lunch a lot.

Comments: This class wasn't too challenging and I actually really enjoyed having Jens as a professor; though some of my classmates found him awkward I found his enthusiasm for the language quite charming. Assessments (even oral quizzes) weren't too difficult or daunting.
