Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The field studies and core class trips really added to the experience. It was great to learn something and then see it applied in Danish society.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived with a 32 year old Danish roomate who stated I was her ninth student and it was an east way to rent the very small room/no allow me to use the living room. I also did not have a bed when I got there, DIS was shocked to learn that and eventually got me one. There are many housing options DIS allows you to do, however Tulane does not. The Kollegiums and DIS shared housing were great experiences with student age Danes in them that we were not allowed to choose form. I spent most of my time there anyway and then would have to go back to sleep in my lonely, empty apartment.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

DIS does alot to make sure you have an amazing experience

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Denmark is expensive. I think everyone know that going in. Cook instead of eating out and you'll save alot.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
