I learned a lot about how to budget and how to travel.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

Initially a disaster (3 people squeezed into a 2-person room). After plenty of emails it was resolved.

* Health Care:

Denmark is tame. Tamer even than the US. I wanted study abroad to push my boundaries, so I should've gone somewhere crazier.

Finances

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Denmark is super expensive. Just remember that

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? carrots are really cheap.

  • A ton of group projects where 1/2 of the group's grades didn't count
