DIS Copenhagen: Semester

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
100% I needed a break from my home institution and experience a city University

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Was not completely satisfied with the mental health advising I received abroad as my feelings weren't acknowledged or substantiated

* Safety:

Although Copenhagen is reportedly the safest city my house had a break in (even though it was double gated) and two computers were stolen. This made me really uncomfortable.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I was extremely impressed with the efficiency of DIS

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

People complained but that's because they were blowing money on alcohol

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? That's what I chose to spend my money on, maybe $60
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Contact solution is three times as expensive in Copenhagen---bring it from home. Tampons too.
