Not super academically challenging, but I loved how they really believed in learning outside the classroom and connected what we were learning to where we were learning it.

I felt pretty integrated, but you have to put in a lot of time and effort to really get to know local Danes.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

We get the Danish government health care, so it was pretty great.

I felt safe always, even walking home by myself at night.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Copenhagen is very expensive, but a lot of the living expenses are built into the tuition for DIS, including food and transportation.

I was encouraged a lot to use the language by the program, but not by local Danes.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Bring your own toiletries and school supplies with you! It might be hard to find the brands you are looking for there, and then you can leave them in Copenhagen and have guaranteed room in your suitcase for souvenirs.
