What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I met so many new and different people abroad. I learned to take advantage of every situation, and to be open to trying anything. It was the most amazing and stress-free time of my life, and I will never forget it.

The classes were not too difficult or time consuming. The program provided us with all the resources we needed to do well.

I had a great experience in the DRC I lived in. It was in a great location and very nice.

Denmark has a lot less over the counter medicines than America.

* Safety:

I never felt unsafe in Copenhagen.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Copenhagen is very expensive, but the food stipend helped a lot. It is best not to eat out very much if you want to save money.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? You should eat at home whenever possible. A lot of places around DIS have student discounts. Only buy coffee at places around school. Always use public transportation, bike, or walk. I preferred to save my money for when I traveled.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? It is not as easy/cheap to travel from Denmark as other places in Europe. The classes were not as hard as people say, so enjoy your time and do not stress too much.
