Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Study tours are the best part of the program and the professors are great. The resources are not top-notch yet satisfactory and the classes are fairly rigorous, but most seem pretty easy for the most part.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I never felt threatened in Copenhagen. It is an amazingly safe city and I think that is one of the best things about it.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Copenhagen and other Northern European cities is ridiculously costly. Probably the biggest drawback to living and studying in the city.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? A lot. Refer to stars and parenthetical key above for rough estimate.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Bring some food with you to get started and all the essentials you can possibly pack. Stuff like toothpaste, deodorant, soaps, etc are especially nice not to have to buy. Everything is more expensive than in the U.S. pretty much. Don't eat out if you want to save money.
