So worth while, wish I could go back.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 6 months+

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The work is still demanding at DIS, not as hard as my home university.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The programs main weakness was dealing with housing. The descriptions of the housing options were very deceiving.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The first housing location I was in was terrible. Then once I moved closer into the city it was great!

* Food:

Really good food, expect lots of pickled herring.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

This study abroad program was the best thing ever!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Copenhagen is the safest city I've ever lived in.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? If you go to Copenhagen there is no way not to spend a lot of money.

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
Language acquisition improvement?

Danish is an extremely difficult language.

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
