Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The entire administration was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and were able to effectively aid in our transition into Danish society.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

Food is expensive, like everything else in Denmark, but you can definitely find delicious, reasonably-priced food everywhere. But I recommend staying with a host family or signing up for the visiting family program so you can get the true Danish cooking experience!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Every trip/activity that DIS offers is incredible. One of my favorites was the weekend trip to Sweden, where we canoed, hiked, repelled down cliffs, and went orienteering.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Denmark is very safe and I hardly ever felt threatened by anything. Due to the Danish welfare state, we received free health care!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Since I lived with a host family, I didn't need to spend much money on food or anything. Most of my money went to travelling, but it is so inexpensive and easy to travel all around Europe! Just realize that Denmark is one of the most expensive countries in the world...

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
