Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

In some classes the grading system at first was vague, only because the Danish system of grading is vastly different than in the US. But other than that it was a similar grading system

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

everything was great. DIS is a very organized and well respected study aboroad program that should be taken advantage of.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We lived in a kolligium where we had contact with both Danish and American students. Everyone was very friendly and helpful towards us.

* Food:

Sandwich Pigen is located right near DIS. 7/11 is also incredible over there.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Dinners with my visiting family were great.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt safer in Denmark than in the USA. did not really experience the health care system THANKfully.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Going out to bars and clubs is very expensive. Manage money wisely.

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Human Health and Disease: A Clinical Approach section

Course Department: E
Instructor: Jesper Linde
Instruction Language: English
Comments: Yes the course was challenging. We went on multiple field studies and learned with a much more hands on approach as compared to the states. I feel i had a more active role in the classroom in terms of class participation than at PC.
