Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I was able to experience a different teaching style than I am used to in the US. There were more hands on opportunities, and the professors were qualified and committed to increasing our knowledge in their area of expertise.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The library was small, but the internet was available throughout the campus. The program did a great job organizing the long and short study tours. These tours were fun, exciting, and very informative.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I got along great with my host family. The only downside was that their house was a 50 minute commute to Copenhagen.

* Food:

The food in Copenhagen was very expensive! I would eat dinner with my host family every night, which was fantastic. I could also pack lunches at my host family's house to bring to school.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The long and short study tours were so much fun. It was fun to see all of the attractions in Berlin, Germany. These study tours were also a great opportunity to get to know other students in the program.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I always felt safe in Copenhagen. The Danes very friendly and always willing to help.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $50
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Make sure to go to the cheapest grocery stores.
