Study abroad is great, just know that you can't choose the people on your program and that they really help to shape your experience! Nectar K - Barnard College View Entire Review
It was worthwhile because I got to experience and learn more about the Parisian and French culture. A student - Barnard College View Entire Review
I already had a 2.5 year experience studying abroad in new york as a turkish student from istanbul thus Paris culture was not foreign to me. It was much more easier for me to adopt to the culture compared to the american culture. Ekin A - Barnard College View Entire Review
French language skills. Learned a lot about different cultures. Yes worthwhile. Great break from Barnard. Refreshing experience. Mary C - Barnard College View Entire Review

I improved my French, so it was worth it. A student - Barnard College View Entire Review
Yes! I learned a lot about how to research in French, how to babysit in French (and babysit in general--I learned so much from that experience and I was able to understand French culture a lot better). Julia K - Barnard College View Entire Review
I had a wonderful time and my French improved dramatically. I will definitely go back to Paris in the future, as it has become one of my favorite cities. Caitlin L - Barnard College View Entire Review
As I stated above, I had a very enriching experience. I learned way more than I expected, and I've found that I am a much more confident, independent person thanks to being in a different country, navigating a new environment, and traveling on my own. My five months in Paris confirmed a lot of things that are typically said abou... Madina T - Barnard College View Entire Review
Most definitely worthwhile. I think my reading and writing skills in French have definitely improved, and I've always wanted to tour Europe, which is incredibly easy to do from here. Victoria J - Barnard College View Entire Review
My experience was very worthwhile. I feel as though I learned a lot about Paris and a lot about myself. Hannah N - Barnard College View Entire Review
The only thing I enjoyed about this semester was the opportunity to travel around Europe. My program was a total failure (unorganized, too much work, uninteresting), and Paris, as it turned out, just wasn't for me. Haley B - Tufts University View Entire Review
My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile. There are things that I would do differently if I could do it over again, but I don't regret doing it. Paige N - Barnard College View Entire Review
Better hold on french and a lot of independence. Also a lot of frustration with the university administration in Paris. A student - Barnard College View Entire Review

Now I'm very familiar with french wine and cheese! A comfort with the language definitely makes it worthwhile, but I'm so in love with my home university that I'm still not convinced that this was better than missing a semester at home. Heidi K - Barnard College View Entire Review
It had ups and downs, but it was worth the time and effort. gini.avatar - Barnard College View Entire Review
Way too much to write in this small box. It was one of the best choices I've ever made. A student - Barnard College View Entire Review
It was the best experience I have ever had. Life-changing. A student - Barnard College View Entire Review
Yes, it was definitely worthwhile. My French is really improved, and I truly enjoyed getting to experience a different culture for a few months. One thing my studying abroad really highlighted for me is how important it is to travel and visit other cultures. I know I want to return to Paris again soon! The time I have spent in Paris has been the most wonderful time of my life. For the first time since I started college, I felt like I was able to find a balance between doing school work and having fun. Studying abroad does have its challenges, but in the end I found it to be worth it. Ella P - Columbia University View Entire Review
Yes. I gained so much knowledge by living and adjusting myself to the French culture, along with learning more about art history and French. Eun K - Wellesley College View Entire Review
My favorite thing was speaking French, and so in that sense, it was very worthwhile. I would love to go back and spend more time abroad. Casey B - Barnard College View Entire Review
Absolutely. My language skills improved by leaps and bounds, I experienced a different university system, my social skills also improved, and I had the time of my life. Sarah I - Barnard College View Entire Review
