City College of San Francisco: Oaxaca- Summer in Oaxaca

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I encourage an immersion program to all that are learning Spanish. It was an experience that was most favorable. I had a great home experience with a family, a teacher that not only taught Spanish, but included life in Oaxaca in her lessons and I enjoyed all the cultural workshops that the school offered as well as the exterior excursions. I only wish it was a longer program. Just as I was getting the hang of Oaxaca, it was time to return. However, I did gain new Spanish skills, made some interesting friends from the program and want to continue my Spanish education further. I truly enjoyed Oaxaca and look forward to returning on my own soon.
