I had a fabulous teacher, Zulema Morales. We had opportunities for intercambios with residents, workshops in many different cultural and craft areas. The excursions were great. |

I never had any problems. I always had all the info I needed. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I stayed at the Posada de Los Angeles. It was great!!! |

Had no host family, but the food was stupendous! |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Fantastic!!!! Extra-curricullar activities -- intercambios, workshops and excursions -- were wonderful. There was not enough time to experience everything that was offered! |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |

I always felt safe. We were given excellent advice by our institute and CCSF advisor about dietary cautions and street safety. |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | No problems with money. ATM's were always available. Generally, the experience was well within my budget. |
Language
| Language acquisition improvement? |
I came in knowing only the present tense. I left knowing four tenses. My listening and speaking improved greatly. |
