Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The CISabroad rep was always there when I had a question and even went out of her way to take us on day trips!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

If you like lamb meat, try Haggis!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I got a stomach bug while there and it was pretty difficult to just see a doctor so I just talked to a pharmacist to get medication. I was checked on by the program. I'm use to being able to do walk-ins at home, but in Scotland you need an appointment for the office on campus.

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

It was the perfect place to go abroad for the first time.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I would say standard 200 pounds each week
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? When I first got to Stirling, I purchased a monthly bus pass for 30 pounds and it definitely saved money while over there. Also if you're not close to a grocery store, it's easier and sometimes cheaper to order online and have them delivered to you.
