What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My language abilities improved drastically, and I learned a lot about a culture that I hadn't known much about. It was very worthwhile.

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The academics were not overly difficult, however they were difficult enough that I still felt as if I was learning at a quick but manageable pace.

On-site administration of your program

Everything was very well organized and it was very helpful to have the administrators dealing with extending our visas.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

It was a very different culture and took some time to feel like a part of it, but CIEE did a good job helping us assimilate.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

St. Petersburg has all of the safety issues that one should think about when visiting any large city. Overall I just used my good judgement and had no problems.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

Pretty easy to live if you prepare a budget and try to stick to it.
