How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Beginner

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

I could practice the language with my host family and with local people, but we did not speak Russian among ourselves. It was encouraged, but not enforced. It would have been a better experience for me, personally to have all of our interacts in Russian, even between the American students
