What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My experience in Sevilla was mainly cultural. The classes at the University did not present a challenge to me and I did't feel like the educational aspect of my semester abroad was worth it. However, getting to know such a different culture was a really great experience.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The grading system was very different. The entire grade for my classes consisted of the grade on one final exam. There were no projects or homework. No rigor at all.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program's administration was great. They were always very helful and friendly. The program size was small which allowed us to meet people from the program as well as locals in a short period of time.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I was extremely pleased with my host family. All of my program's host houses were within a walking distance to classes and night life.

* Food:

The quality of food at my homestay excellent but not all the people from my program had the same experience.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I travelled to France and Italy.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

It is not the safest place at night. Some people from my program got followed by men at night when returning from clubs.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Students should plan out their semester and stick to a budget. Money goes away really fast when traveling.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
