Yes. Because of my study abroad experience I now understand human rights from a completely different perspective. My life and my perspective on the world has been totally changed.

Language acquisition improvement?

Most people only spoke Spanish, so yes, I needed to use the host country language in everyday interactions. I could practice the language with my professors, my peers, my host family, and people on the street: just about anyone I met.

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? This program is excellent for students who want to see what life is like in a developing country. It is great for people who want to see what it's like to step outside of their comfort zones for awhile.
