What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about the culture, the problems facing the country as well as a lot about who I want to be and the live I want to live.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The academic classes weren't difficult, but rather structured very differently and are something you have to get used to and adapt your work to.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

There are not many options for food, it it hard living in a dorm trying to provide meals for yourself other than eating out. Local food is very starch and meat based with very few vegetables or variety.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I had to received a yellow fever vaccine to travel out of the country and the clinic was within walking distance and very quick and efficient.

* Safety:

I've never had any safety problems and found that the locals were very nice and helpful.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
