What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
After traveling abroad, I can't see continuing my education without at least one international experience each year. Opening my mind and being exposed to different cultures and world views has made me a more conscientious citizen of the U.S. I am more sensitive now to perspectives and have found new eyes for international studies. I will travel as often as I can as I continue my studies and hope to impress these values onto my children.
