About

Denmark, one of the oldest monarchies, lies in the region of Scandinavia with 406 islands and 7314 km (4544 miles) of coastline. Find out what it is like to live as a Danish teenager while living with a host family and attending a local public high school. No previous Danish language ability is required, but you should be motivated to learn about the language and culture.

Program Details:


  • 10, 5, or 3 month program starts in August

  • 5 or 3 month program starts in January

  • Must be between the ages of 15½ and 18

  • No language requirement

  • School year starts in August

  • Placed with volunteer host family

Application Deadlines: 10/1 for January, 4/1 for August
