Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Food- 40 Euros/week. We had many meals provided for us. Personal Expenses- a lot... For one semester, if food it mostly included, you should have about or more than $2000 readily available. $3000 to be safer.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? You'll see street vendors with cool gadgets and things you'll want. Bring extra cash!! Keep it safe though.

They encouraged more than we were taught. We had a class, but it really didn't help as much as going out and actually talking to people.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. ~e.e. cummings Get out and do it! Students who are mature enough to accept another culture as their own for the length of the stay.
